Overview


At the end of this course those attending will have received a thorough grounding in the new tribunal rules and how to use them effectively in the complex area of discrimination claims. Many claims fail because the relevant evidence has not been elicited from the parties at an early stage of the litigation process. The course will cover:

  • How to get your claim started, the new fees regime and remission
  • Making sure claim/ defence is carefully pleaded to ensure you get through the new sift procedure
  • Collecting and evaluating the evidence
  • Preparing for preliminary hearings
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Tips for conducting the hearing
  • Preparing for remedies hearing, mitigation, evidence of the market place, purpose of schedules and counter schedules.
